Já se conhecem todos os nomeados para os Óscares
A Academia de Cinema de Hollywood divulgou os nomeados para a 94.ª edição dos Óscares, que acontecerá no próximo dia 27 de Março de 2022, em Hollywood.
“The Power of the Dog” (ler crítica), ou em português “O Poder do Cão”, de Jane Campion, é o filme sensação, uma vez que tem 12 nomeações. Depois, seguem-se “Dune” (ler crítica) de Denis Villeneuve com 10 nomeações, “West Side Story” de Steven Spielberg, e “Belfast” de Kenneth Branagh, ambos com 7 nomeações. A cineasta Jane Campion torna-se ainda na primeira mulher nomeada duas vezes na categoria de Melhor Realização (com “The Piano” e “The Power of the Dog”). É a segunda entre sete mulheres a ser nomeada para a categoria de Melhor Realização. A juntar a isto, fora também a primeira realizadora mulher a receber a Palma de Ouro no Festival de Cinema de Cannes com o filme “The Piano”, em 1993, e com o qual também ganhou o Óscar de Melhor Argumento Original.
O designer luso-canadiano Luis Sequeira também está nomeado pela segunda vez para os Óscares, na categoria de Guarda-Roupa, e desta vez com o filme “Nightmare Alley”, de Guillermo del Toro. “Tenho a sorte de poder trabalhar com ele [Guillermo del Toro] e de termos tido agendas compatíveis. O Guillermo é um homem fantástico, um realizador enorme. Por isso, tenho sorte de ser a pessoa encarregada dos figurinos”, contou o designer à CNN Portugal.
